Plot

In *Right Where I Left You*, a woman endures a painful journey following her brother's suicide. Nihan travels to their village for the funeral alongside her brother, her brother-in-law, and her brother's colleague. As she attempts to conceal the truth—that her brother's death was not actually a suicide—from the village imam, she also faces off with her brother-in-law Salim. Throughout this passage, Nihan is forced to reckon with the conflict between her personal worldview and the expectations dictated by religion and society.
