The Apocalypse (2004)
Plot
In 90 AD, John of Patmos, the last living disciple of Jesus, endures exile on a Roman penal mining island. Emperor Domitian proclaims himself a god ruling over heaven and earth, and Christians who reject his divinity are persecuted. Imprisoned on Patmos with many others, John records his apocalyptic visions and dispatches the Revelation of God to seven churches in Asia Minor. The church at Ephesus sends Irene to confirm John is alive and speak with him face to face. The film interweaves scenes from the Book of Revelation with the struggles of the Asian churches.
