Plot

This documentary follows Dub Lawrence, a former sheriff who founded his rural state’s first SWAT team. Decades later, that same unit fatally shot his son-in-law during a disputed standoff. Driven by a relentless mission, Dub turns his investigative skills toward uncovering the truth behind this and other recent police shootings in his community. Along the way, he confronts bigger questions about the increasingly militarized role of American peace officers and how the force he once led has transformed.
