The Grey Zone (2001)
Plot
Set against the harrowing backdrop of Auschwitz, the narrative follows the twelfth Sonderkommando, a group of Jewish prisoners forced into a nightmarish choice. These "Special Squads" are caught in a brutal moral conflict: they must aid in the systematic murder of their own people in return for a fleeting extension of life. As survival hangs in the balance, the haunting circumstances challenge their humanity and ethics, exposing the depths of despair and the will to endure in a world stripped of compassion.
