Plot

Rebellious Malou is shipped off to a tiny island to live with new foster parents, Bibi and Leif. She hates everything and plots her escape. Nils, a grumpy local gnome who despises change, hates her too. They strike a deal to get Malou kicked off the island. But when she finds unexpected joy helping Leif chop Christmas trees, Malou realizes she’s made a terrible mistake. Unfortunately, the gnome pact is unbreakable. Nils sabotages the farm’s Christmas market and frames her. Now Malou must fight back, prove her innocence, and save the holiday—and her new family.
