Plot
In 1992, Martin Dye, a detective who's stepped back from the grind to write, takes a job hunting a lost duffel bag full of cash, its trail leading back to a deadly 1970s accident that killed one buddy and left another paralyzed. Poking through old schoolmates, hometown whispers, and decades of cover-ups, Martin peels back a grim history of narcotics, backstabbing, and wrecked futures—realizing that some truths won't stay entombed.
