The Devil and the Ten Commandments (1962)
Plot
This film unfolds in seven segments of about fifteen minutes each, dramatizing the consequences of breaking the Ten Commandments. Jérome Chambard is told he'll be fired if he keeps swearing. Françoise Beaufort, infatuated with a stripper, visits her only to discover she's married to a janitor unaware of his wife's profession. Denis, a Jesuit novice, quits the order to avenge his sister's suicide, caused by Garigny, who lured her into prostitution and drugs. Philip buys Micheline a necklace despite his boredom with her. A young man learns his real mother isn't Madeleine but actress Clarisse Ardant. Bank cashier Didier Marin is dismissed by his boss. The Devil appears as a serpent while Jérome Chambard and the bishop dine.
