The Pianist (2002)
Plot
Based on the real-life journey of pianist W?adys?aw Szpilman, this tale unfolds in Warsaw amid the Nazi occupation. As the Jewish population is herded into a ghetto, Szpilman secures a job performing at a café. Following the deportation of his family in 1942, he remains in the city, taking on labor work before ultimately seeking refuge in the crumbling remnants of a war-ravaged Warsaw.
