Plot
Dr. Michele Wolf, a Jewish survivor of a Nazi concentration camp, returns to her Parisian home after World War II, hoping to reclaim her life. Unbeknownst to her, her charming husband, Stanislaw Pilgrin, a chess master and gigolo, has been entangled in a scandalous affair with her stepdaughter, Fabi, during her absence. As Michele navigates the challenges of reintegration, the hidden betrayals threaten to unravel the fragile peace she seeks, leading to a complex web of emotions and revelations that could shatter her world once again.
