Plot
Oklahoma mechanic Pike Peters unexpectedly becomes a co-owner of an oil field, prompting his wife Idy, previously satisfied with their life, to seek out culture in Paris and mingle with the elite. As Idy rents a chateau from a financially struggling aristocrat, Pike and their adult children attract the attention of charming French suitors. With his down-to-earth humor, Pike navigates the ensuing cultural clashes. The family's adventure raises the question: will the allure of sophistication prevail over their straightforward values?
