Her acting career spanned from 1947 until 1979, during which she featured in a total of 43 films, gaining notable acclaim primarily in her home country.
Courcel's journey in the film industry began with minor roles as an extra, but her breakthrough came with a significant role in the film *Rendez-vous de juillet* (1949), starring alongside Brigitte Auber. She solidified her reputation with her memorable performance in Serge Bourguignon's *Sundays and Cybele* (1962), which remains one of her most recognized works.
