Gary Bettman

Gary Bruce Bettman, born on June 2, 1952, is an American sports executive best known for his long-standing role as commissioner of the National Hockey League (NHL), a position he has occupied since February 1, 1993. Before joining the NHL, he served as senior vice president and general counsel for the National Basketball Association (NBA). Bettman earned his undergraduate degree from Cornell University and later obtained a law degree from New York University School of Law.
