Ljubomir "Ljubo" Bandović hails from Ivangrad, located in SR Montenegro, SFR Yugoslavia. He pursued his education at the University of Arts, specifically at the Faculty of Dramatic Arts. Since 2000, he has been an integral part of the Yugoslav Drama Theatre, while also collaborating with a variety of prestigious institutions, such as the Belgrade International Theatre Festival, Belgrade Drama Theatre, Serbian National Theatre, and the Belgrade Summer Festival (BELEF).

In February 2009, Bandović received the esteemed "Zoran Radmilović" award for his outstanding performance in the theatrical production "Ćeif." His remarkable skills did not go unnoticed in August 2011 when he was honored with the Grand Prix "Naisa" award for his roles in "The Sisters" and "The Enemy." Furthermore, in October 2011, he was celebrated as the best actor at the 31st "Borini pozorišni dani" festival, thanks to his compelling performance in "Pazarni dan."
