Nasir Jani, born on October 10, 1954, is a Malaysian filmmaker whose career spans directing, writing, and acting. He entered the industry as an art director and assistant director, contributing to Othman Hasham's second feature, *Mekanik* (1983). This early experience laid the groundwork for his directorial debut with *Kembara Seniman Jalanan* (1986), followed by *Rozana Cinta '87* (1987).
